After you download their add-on, we'll go to your Blockland install folder. Installing add-ons is simple and straight-forward, drag and drop your add-on into Blockland's add-ons folder and the job is done. Then click Go. Locate the Blockland folder, then Add-Ons. A little note: Blockland will load add-ons from both. Now that you've installed your add-on, the next question you most likely have is "how do I actually use my add-on?
How do I know if it works or not? When the game opens, if it has any, the client-side scripts of your add-on will run at startup. To enable your add-ons on the server, go to start a game, choose the Custom gamemode, find your add-on and enable it click on it.
You'll know whether your add-on is enabled or not if it has a filled circle or an empty circle. If you want to enable your add-on in-game without restarting though, you'll have to run some console commands to get it working. The console is a gui in-game or window if you're running with -console which logs what the game is doing and allows you to put in some commands to do things and maybe crash your game if that's your thing.
Let's assume we're still trying to get Blockland Glass working without restarting the game, and we're already hosting a game. When you download an add-on, you'll usually get a. However, some archives may include the add-on folder inside and if you place the archive as is, it will not execute because the game doesn't allow for nesting add-ons add-on folder inside of another add-on folder Just to be safe I would just take the folder out and place it in Add-Ons, that way I can execute it in-game and mess with the files without having to extract them elsewhere.
If the archive has the data in the root folder and not in another, make a folder in Add-Ons with the same name as the add-on and drag the contents of the archive in the folder.
